- Each teacher's class will vary in degree of difficulty according to their own style and charisma. Please keep an open-mind while studying the huge amount of material. The weekend will be successful if you absorb even a portion of what is taught during the classes.
- No you do not. There will be seating in the studios for those who would like to pause and write notes, ideas, and choreographies. It is up to you to decide how long you would like to be on the dance floor.
- You cannot. Usually the studios are filled to their comfortable capacity and by dancers switching programs they create overcrowding in one studio. If, after your first class of the day, you feel that you have been misplaced, please speak specifically to Mr. Ofer Ben. Satisfaction is important to us and we will do our best to accommodate.
- As we would like to keep the dance floor for the dancers and due to space limitations, no observers are allowed in the studios.
- You are more than welcome to do so, however the waiting area has no windows that look into the classes. Your time during classes might be better spent exploring New York City. There will be staff inside the studios as well as in the hallways to ensure that no dancer is left unattended.
- Not while classes are in session. The material taught in the classes is yours to use, so feel free to video tape yourself or your friends during breaks.
- Lunch is not provided by us, there are many eateries outside the building and within a few seconds walking distance.
- On Saturday and Sunday the Lunch break is one hour. On Friday, as we start at noon, there will only be 15 minute breaks between classes.
- Yes, it will also be good for the dancers to step out of the building to get some fresh air during the break. If you cannot make it for lunch, no worries, they are sure to make friends during the classes with whom they can lunch together.
- Yes you do. All the performers will be called to the stage from the audience. Each ticket reserves a seat in the audience.
- Your Showcase Ticket(s) can be picked up at The Big Apple Tap Festival store (Studio 1202) during the festival, or at The Kaye Playhouse on Nov. 10th, one hour before the show.
- Please find one of the members of the production team and they will assist you.
- Absolutely! However as with any other big city, one should always be cautious. Do not leave belongings unattended. The younger dancers should be accompanied by adults or other class members when stepping outside of the building.
